OUTREACH

I first got involved in learning and participation work through Open Academy at the Royal Academy of Music. I will never forget one of my first projects – the Royal London Hospital visit. It made a lasting impact on me, being both artistically fulfilling and enriching on a deeply personal level. I was so glad to have found a strand of my career, where my musical development and everyday learning about what it is to be human, go hand in hand. In 2024-25 I was incredibly lucky to fulfil the role of the Open Academy Fellow, alongside three other aspiring workshop leaders and inspiring instrumentalists – Anna Phillips, Callum Davis and Meadow Brooks. We trained and worked under the guidance of workshop leaders such as John Webb, Caroline Welsh, Julian West, Jackie Walduck, Luke Newby, Tim Keasley, Mary Martin and Tony Robb.
